Watch Status:

Friday realized less than expected impacts from falling snow due to the moisture content which allowed the snow to melt. However, overnight hours will see freezing temperatures creating ice on roadways impacting travel. So far no reports of power outages with the exception of isolated outages in some areas. The forecast calls for more snow and temperatures above or below the freezing point.

Watch Status:

SNOW HAS BEGUN TO FALL AT 1 INCH PER HOUR IN THE NORTH SOUND AREAS OF ARLINGTON AND MARYSVILLE. SNOW EXPECTED IN KING COUNTY BY NOON, MOVING SOUTH INTO PIERCE COUNT BY 1500 HRS. STAY OFF ROADS UNLESS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY DURING EVENT PERIOD.

Watch Status:

A potential major winter storm will arrive Friday, 08FEB into Saturday, 09FEB19 compounding impacts from an earlier storm causing freezing temperatures and icy conditions. Warming shelters should also be on the lookout for any occupants who may exhibit signs of the Measles. Washington State declared a Measles Outbreak emergency last month.
